Thank you for your prayers as we travel…

February 2nd, 2012

Greetings from our family,

We have been very busy these last couple of months with church ministry, government requirements for the Children’s Home (civil defense licensing and updates), the Holidays, planning for the New Year, preparing for our furlough trip, quality family time, and other things I can’t even remember…but, it sure is great to look back and see how the Lord has blessed us and His Work! We should not forget that the one we serve is so faithful and so caring about every detail of our lives. It is because of Him that we can find the strength, wisdom, and joy to carry on and stay focused while doing all the things we do.

The Children’s Home, along with our churches, and village Bible studies are all doing well and continue to grow and see people saved. Pastor David Taza (the national pastor of our church in Cieneguilla, Peru) has been having some major headaches and pain, so he is having some tests done. Please keep him in your prayers. Our fellow missionaries (the Herrell family)who we work with are doing a terrific job at the Children’s Home and are such a blessing to work with. We thank the Lord for their leadership their at the Home. The Dassow family is in the process of getting their carnets (residence papers), so we can move forward with starting the Christian School this year. Please pray that they will be able to get this done soon so that we can move forward with all the legal paperwork we have to have done before we can start.

We want to say “Thank you” again for your prayers for our family as we travel here to the States to raise funds for the Children’s Home and ministries in Peru. We do believe in the power of prayer and also believe that God has answered many prayers lifted up for our family.

Please continue to pray as we travel the highways to share what wonderful opportunities we have to reach abandoned and orphaned children with the Love of Christ through NLCH. These children deserve a “New Life” and the same “Hope” that you and I have. We can not change what these children have been through, but we can change their future by giving of ourselves. This is why we’re excited about sharing what God has been doing with churches and individuals who faithfully give so that we can do what we do, and also share with others how they can start helping.

We look forward to keeping you posted on the great things that continue to happen in Peru and with us here as we travel.

Today we traveled from Georgia to North Carolina. Tomorrow we will go to Virginia and will be speaking Saturday and Sunday for a Spanish ministry before returning to Georgia.

Blessings,

The Kennedys

    Dear Bro. Kennedy

I am a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in King George Va. and a couple years ago when you where in the U.S. my husband and I drove down to see you. Our church has supported the NLCH and your family for about two years. I know you most likely have your whole time here already planned out, but it would be great if you could make a visit to our church. We are about 20 minutes outside of Fredricksburg, Va. If there is any chance you could come, you can contact my Pastor Serman Davis and check schedules with him. You can tell him Melinda Schram contacted you about this. The churchs number is (540)775-7188. Our mission conferance is in March and we have spanish ministy that we started recently.

    Sincerely
    Melinda Schram
