A lot has happened since our last posts and we have been staying very busy.
We are in the process of updating our paperwork here in Peru as a non profit licensed Children’s Home. This is something we have to do every few years. Because we have built more buildings we have to have Civil Defense approve everything. This costs a lot of money and work too. Everything is going well, but we do ask that you pray as we go through this process.
I also got very sick with a bacterial infection and a toxic enzyme in my body. It put me in the hospital for a day from being dehydrated, but I didn’t stay because I wanted to be home with my family for Christmas. I lost over 10 pounds in just one week. I feel much better now and seem to be getting my energy back daily. I’m very thankful for your prayers!
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. God once again blessed us as we celebrated His birth! Although I was unable to be there due to being so sick, The Children’s Home had a very special time. We were able to give every child and worker at the Children’s Home gifts and they had a wonderful dinner also. Brother Matt Herrell read the Story of Christ’s birth to everyone.
Please be in prayer for our family as we are packing now to fly to the States for a short time to raise funds for the Children’s Home. We have taken in more children, but we continue to turn many away. We desperately need to raise more funds.
Please pray for these things as we travel:
1) Safety Traveling for our family
2) Gas expense (We know this will be a major expense on our family, so we are praying for help)
3) Meetings at both supporting and new churches where we can give an update on what God is doing here and share the needs.
4) We are also praying for families and businesses to host a Children’s Home/Adoption Awareness meeting in their homes. This will be a great opportunity to invite friends and co-workers and people from other churches to meet and fellowship while we share about the ministry here and how they can help us reach more children for Christ.
5) Financial needs we will have while traveling.
