Hallelujah! We are happy to report to you that we took in four more children this week at New Life Children’s Home. This is a big commitment, but God is able to supply all our needs…through His people! On Monday we took in a little girl just 4 years old that was abandoned by her mother. Although she seems a bit scared of all that is going on in her life now, her spirit is sweet and she has already made friends at the Home.
Tuesday we received a call asking us to take in three other children (all siblings ages 4, 6, and 9). After looking over their situation and case history we felt we needed to step out by faith and that NLCH should care for them. We spent some time with them yesterday and had fun. They enjoyed playing and laughing as we acted crazy. We know that when reaching abandoned children we have to take the bad with the good(meaning they have fears, emotional issues, trust issues, and sometimes even attitudes due to what they have been through), but this is where NLCH gets blessed when we see the Love of Christ change all that into something great. What a blessing to be a part of giving a child hope and a “New Life.”
I don’t write much about having to turn away children, but it happens almost every week. Sometimes it is due to health situations, or based on what the child has been through, but most of the time it is because we don’t have the funds we need. Yesterday we had to turn away three!
Please pray for us, NLCH, and these children. Also, please share the word with others that they can sponsor a child and make a difference in a child’s life forever. We can’t reach these children without financial help.
